About Us

Hi, my name is Margaret J Thompson and I am a retired Deputy Sheriff with the Pickens County Sheriff's Office. During my 25 years, I have rescued many dogs and cats from neglect, starvation and abuse. No, I was not the animal control officer but a person who cared and did what I could to help the animals who could not speak for themselves or much less call 911. As you take a tour through my website, you will meet the ones I have rescued, gave a loving home and watched over them until they went to be with GOD.

My goal is to continue to give, you the client, the same loving care as the ones I have rescued and cared for over the years. I look forward to meeting with you and your four legged child.

"Our family first met Margaret more than 12 years ago while she was patrolling our neighborhood as a Pickens County Deputy.  We were in our front yard with our new puppy and she stopped to play with Pudd.  A lifelong friendship began that day! There is no one on earth I'd trust more to take care of our beloved shih tzus. Since moving from Clemson, we have lived in Texas, North Carolina, Arkansas and back in Texas.  Margaret is always a welcome guest and visits at least twice a year.  Margaret will be flying out to Dallas to doggie-sit this summer while we are away.  My dogs LOVE her!!!  We LOVE her!!!  You will too!!!"

"Margaret treats our dogs as she would her own. That is just one reason why we trust having Deputy Dog Pet Sitting take care of our "little ones" and always look to them to take care of our pet sitting needs. Rest assured, your animals are in good hands when Deputy Dog Pet Sitting is there!"

"We have known Margaret Thompson for almost 10 years and she is honest, forthright, and dependable.  Without exaggeration, most people who know her will also know of her love and concern for animals.  We are excited about her new business and believe that once a pet has met Margaret, the pet will have a new friend and so will the owner! "

"We wouldn't let anyone else take care of Tyler while we're out of town... Margaret loves him as her own and his ears perk up when we mention her name"

"We moved to Clemson 10 years ago, when Tommy accepted the Head Football Coaching job at Clemson University.  We were given Margaret's name with Deputy Dog Pet Sitting and she has taken care of our dogs, Sadie and Lucy.  Sadie passed away and Margaret was helpful in finding Lucy, who is with us now.  Margaret has taken care of our home when we are not in town and also assisted getting Tommy on and off the field when she was a Deputy Sheriff.  For any need, whether it is for your beloved pet or just anything, Margaret will be there to help. We are proud, that Lucy, our boxer, was chosen to be put on the billboard."
